Queen Tamar Arch Bridge in Mirveti is a unique architectural monument of the 11th-13th centuries, located in the picturesque village of Mirveti in Adjara, just 7 kilometers from the turnoff to Adjaristskali and 23 km from Batumi. This arched bridge uses natural rocks as supports, making it one of the most interesting engineering solutions of its time. With a length of 12 meters and a height from the water surface to the main beam of 5 meters, it serves as a historical reminder of the skill of ancient builders.
The restoration of the bridge was completed in 2013 as part of the target program of the Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Adjara, which allowed it to be preserved in its original form for future generations.
This unique monument is one of the key points of our excursion to Mountainous Adjara, where you can not only see the Queen Tamar Arch Bridge in Mirveti, but also enjoy the beauty of the local nature and learn more about the rich history of the region.
