Eiffel Bridge in Adjaristskhali

The Eiffel Bridge in Adjaristskhali is a unique engineering structure 20 km from Batumi in the Khelvachauri municipality, which has no analogues in Adjara. Built in the early 19th century, it connected two historical areas, crossing the Adjaristskali River.

This iron bridge, erected by local engineers and Greek craftsmen Kalatoz, is a solid structure, fastened with rivets without the use of welding.

The history of the bridge is associated with the need to replace wooden structures, which were often destroyed due to heavy rains and floods on the Adjaristskali River. Today, the Eiffel Bridge in Adjaristskhali is part of our excursions in Mountainous Adjara, and you can visit it by going with us on this amazing journey.
