Makhuntseti Waterfall is one of the most picturesque places in Adjara, located just 30 km from Batumi. The waterfall, 30 meters high, is one of the highest and most impressive in this region. Makhuntseti Waterfall is located on a mountain, just 100 meters from the highway leading from Batumi to the village of Keda. It is easily accessible for visiting, and there is a parking lot nearby (2 GEL) and a cafe where you can relax and try local treats. Entrance to the territory is free. In summer, it is worth taking a swimsuit here to plunge into the cool water.
At the Makhuntseti waterfall, you can also buy local souvenirs and delicious Georgian products - jam, honey and traditional churchkhela.

Car. From Batumi, you can get to the waterfall in a rented car in about 30 minutes if you leave from the outskirts, and about 40 minutes from the center due to possible traffic jams.
Minibus. From the Batumi bus station (Mayakovsky Street, 1) to the village of Keda, minibus #77 runs, the journey takes about 40 minutes. It is recommended to sit in the seat on the right side (not on the driver's side) to enjoy the views of the mountains and rivers of Adjara. The minibus to Keda is in the far right corner of the bus station, and the sign should say "Keda".
Where to get off: near the arched bridge of Queen Tamara,from there you need to cross the road and go left to the waterfall for about 5 minutes. Just ask the driver to stop in Makhuntseti at the bridge, and he will tell you the right place.
