About the excursion

One day – and you'll see Georgia in all its forms: turquoise waters in a rocky canyon, the silence of an ancient monastery, warm sulfuric waters by the river, and black sand by the sea. 14 hours, six stops, one route that will be remembered for a long time.

Martvili Canyon

The main stop of the day. Limestone walls, waterfalls, and the clear turquoise water of the Abasha River. A walk along the suspension bridges will take about an hour—enough to walk the entire route leisurely and take photos your friends will later ask for. You can also take a boat ride through the canyon (30 lari)—the view from the water is completely different.

Martvili Dormition Monastery

A few minutes from the canyon is an active 7th-century monastery on a hilltop. Ancient frescoes, views of the Egrisi Valley, and a special silence that only comes from places with a thousand-year history. A nice break after a walk through the canyon.

Nokalakevi Hot Springs

Hydrogen sulfide springs by the river. You can take a bath in the healing sulfur water (5 lari) or go down to the river— There, in the pebble beach, there are natural depressions where river water mixes with hot sulfur to the perfect temperature. Free, authentic, and very Georgian.

Ureki Beach - Magnetic Sands

The only beach in Georgia with black magnetic sand. It is believed to be beneficial for blood vessels, joints, and the nervous system— But even without any magic, it's simply a beautiful place: dark velvet sand, the sound of the Black Sea, a contrast after the sulfur water and mountain canyons.

Musicians' Park in Batumi

The final stop on the way back. Singing bronze statues of Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Louis Armstrong, and other legends—each with its own melody. A light, warm finale to a long day.

What's included in the day, besides the route

In the morning—a short stop at the Sadzhavakho cafe for a snack and to wake up. In the middle of the day—lunch at the cafe a la carte (Georgian cuisine, your choice). Between the points—a comfortable transfer and a guide who will tell you about the places along the way.

One route— Four elements: mountains, water, history, and the sea. You return to Batumi in the evening with the feeling that you've lived a short life in a single day.
