How our excursions work
Questions before choosing
Are the tours from Batumi in English?
Group tours run in Russian: the guide helps English-speaking guests with the essentials. A private tour can go with an English-speaking guide at no extra charge - choose the private format when booking.
Can I book for tomorrow?
Yes, if the schedule shows free seats: book by the evening, and we send the pickup stop and a map pin after 18:00 the day before. A private trip for tomorrow is possible too, though a day or two of notice is better. The «Dates» button at the top shows the nearest departures.
How much do tours from Batumi cost?
The city tour is 40 GEL, day trips in a group start from 55 GEL per person; private trips from 300 GEL for a party of 1-2 and from 350 GEL for 3-4. Children under 12 pay less on day trips - the child price is on each tour page, for example Makhuntseti 55 and 40 GEL. Every third group day trip within a year is discounted.
Is a prepayment required and how do I pay?
A prepayment is needed for parties of 5 and more - 20 GEL per person, because a big party decides whether the trip goes ahead. Some seasonal trips have their own prepayment, stated on the page; a private trip is held with a prepayment from 100 GEL per party. Pay it by card transfer or in cash at our office by arrangement; the rest goes to the guide on the day, in cash in GEL. Cancel 48 hours ahead and the prepayment is refunded in full.
Where is the pickup for group tours?
At a bus stop near your hotel along the route: a big vehicle cannot enter every yard, and a stop at each address would add 5-15 minutes per party. If the route passes through Kobuleti, Chakvi or Ureki, we pick up there too. Private tours start at your hotel door.
What if it rains or the group does not fill up?
Tours go ahead in the rain - only a storm cancels a departure, with a refund or a new date. Outside Batumi the weather is often better than on the coast: check the hourly forecast for the region of the trip. If a group does not fill up, we warn you a day ahead and offer a refund or another date.
Are there trips from Batumi to Turkey and to Tbilisi?
To Turkey - yes: a one-day trip to Trabzon, Uzungol and Sumela with your passport, departure at 6:30. Tbilisi is not a day trip from Batumi - 5-6 hours each way; take the train (about 4 hours) and plan a separate day or two there.
When and where from are you going?
Pick the dates: group departures by day and private trips on any day. The same thing we pick in chats, here - at once
Before the trip
Our own day trips from Batumi across Adjara, western Georgia and into Turkey: scheduled group departures or a private tour on any day. Below: who guides, where to go by season and how to book.
Tours from Batumi with a guide: who runs them
We are a team of Belarusians and Georgians: around 5000 tourists travel with us every season, and we know Adjara the way locals do. Our guides are certified Georgians with more than 10 years of experience; the lead guide, Akaki Beridze, is the president of the Adjara Tourism Industry Federation. Group tours run in Russian, and the guide helps English-speaking guests with the essentials; a private tour can go with an English-speaking guide at no extra charge.
In groups of 10 and more the guide and the driver are two different people: one watches the road, the other takes care of you. Up to 9 people travel in a Mercedes Vito minivan with a guide-driver, bigger groups in a Sprinter minibus; a group takes up to 19 tourists, the Gomis Mta trip up to 14 because of the mountain road. Group tours follow a schedule - dates and free seats are on the cards above. Private tours go on any day, at your pace and along your route.

Trips from Batumi to Turkey
Trabzon, Uzungol lake and the Sumela monastery fit into one day: departure at 6:30, the border at Sarpi 20 km from Batumi, return around 23:00. Bring your passport and some Turkish lira for small expenses - exchange offices are in Batumi. A group departs from 5 people; privately the trip starts from 750 GEL per party. Cappadocia and Istanbul are out of reach in a day: that is a separate trip of several days.
Tbilisi, Svaneti, Kazbegi, Borjomi
Tbilisi is 350 km and 5-6 hours by car each way, so we do not run it as a day trip from Batumi. Take the train - about 4 hours (how to travel between Batumi and Tbilisi) - and plan a separate day or two for the capital, Kazbegi, Kakheti or Borjomi. Svaneti and Racha are closer from Kutaisi. Our own mountain trips from Batumi - Gomis Mta, Green Lake, Goderdzi - are on the Mountains page.
What to choose by season
In summer everything runs: Mountain Adjara with a swim at Makhuntseti waterfall, the cool Prometheus Cave, Gomis Mta with a sunset above the clouds. September and October bring Rtveli, the grape harvest with a feast at a farm; November and December - tangerine picking in Adjarian orchards; December to March - the Goderdzi ski resort. Around New Year there is an evening city tour of decorated Batumi. Rain is no reason to stay in the hotel: tours go ahead, and outside the city the weather is often better than on the coast.
How to book
Book in the form on the tour page or in WhatsApp and Telegram; from 8:00 to 21:00 we usually reply within 15 minutes. A prepayment is needed for parties of 5 and more - 20 GEL per person; some seasonal trips have their own, stated on the page. Everyone else pays the guide on the day, in cash in GEL. Free cancellation - 48 hours before the start. Details are in the questions before choosing above and in the booking terms.
