The New Boulevard is close to the sea, with new buildings and modern apartments. It suits a beach holiday and anyone who wants a flat with a kitchen.
In the Old Town the sea is close along Shota Rustaveli Avenue, and further from the shore you find old houses with courtyards and the main sights. It is the area for walking: the streets of Old Batumi with cafes and squares by day, the seaside boulevard in the evening.
