Where to Stay in Georgia: Best Hotels & Destinations

Find the perfect stay in Georgia. A curated guide to the best hotels in Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kutaisi for every type of traveler

Where to stay in Georgia depends on the season. In summer and early autumn the easiest base is Batumi by the sea, with day trips to the mountains and canyons. From late autumn to late spring it is better to start in Tbilisi. A night in Batumi costs from 7 USD in a hostel to 120 USD in a 5-star hotel, according to our agency figures for 2026. Below is a short guide to each city with links to detailed articles.

Batumi, Kobuleti and Ureki

In Batumi we recommend the New Boulevard or the Old Town - see where to stay in Batumi. There is always something to do here, even on a rainy day. Kobuleti is a quiet resort town with a long beach, Ureki a small village with magnetic sand; both work well for a summer beach holiday, with Batumi close by for sights and restaurants.

Tbilisi and Kutaisi

Tbilisi has a wide choice, and the area matters more than the hotel: the Old Town and Sololaki for walking, Vake and Saburtalo for calm residential streets. According to 2026 guidebooks, rooms are cheaper in winter, from November to March. Areas and prices - in our guide to where to stay in Tbilisi.

One or two nights are enough for Kutaisi: the centre near the Colchis Fountain and the White Bridge, or the quieter Old Town by Bagrati Cathedral. The airport is 23 km from the centre, so before an early flight it is easier to sleep in town and take a taxi. Details - where to stay in Kutaisi.
